IFATCA Policy is:

Sufficient training shall be available for current ATCOs of all English language abilities so as to be able to meet the required ICAO level and subsequently retain (or improve) that competency.

IFATCA strongly supports initiatives where controllers from non-English speaking Member Associations attend courses in English-speaking countries that would improve their ability to communicate non-aviation related English more effectively.

ATCOs who are unable to achieve and maintain the English language requirements shall have their positions protected and given opportunities to reach the required ICAO level.
