IFATCA Policy is:Air traffic controllers should undergo an annual ophthalmic examination which takes into account real working conditions. The equipment used by controllers and the entirety of the working place should be checked by oculists so that it is conform to the requirements necessary for the safety of air traffic and health of the controllers. Member Associations shall approach their national administrations in order to establish a regular ophthalmic examination scheme including a written record of the finding in an appropriate form, and shall communicate to the IFATCA Office the results and any other relevant studies. |
